| All businesses can profit from having a web-based
repository of policies, procedures, communications and contact lists
that is easy to update and readily available to all employees. In
addition, iiIntranet.com has features for employees to provide
feedback and questions to company leaders and the company’s human
resources department. It also provides features for posting timely
announcements, short training topics, and personal interest stories.
It can easily be linked to the company’s email system and other information
repositories and communication resources.
iiIntranet's web-based interface allows the system to be
accessed by office-based or field-based personnel through a standard
web browser. Below you can find details about iiIntranet's features. |

|
Browser Based
iiIntranet is completely web browser based, so that
employees and executives can access it wherever they are connected
to the Web – at work, at home, or on the road. It can be accessed by
all the major brands of browsers, and is dynamically optimized for
the browser being used by each user.

Dynamic Content
he company information managed by iiIntranet can be easily
composed and edited by the company’s Content Manager, and then
posted to the site. Many of the sections and pages of the site are
dynamic and do not require manual web page changes. The site’s use
of Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) and data base technology
supports the management of this dynamic content.
|
|
|
|
Integration with Other Web Sites
The use of XML and data base technology also allows the content
created and managed by iiIntranet to be easily shared and
integrated with other Web Sites. For example, company news can be
created once and published to both the iiIntranet and the
company’s corporate web site.

|
E-mail Notifications
iiIntranet has the capability for the Content Managers
to send emails to selected groups of employees when they post new
information to iiIntranet. These emails contain links that will
take the employees directly to the new content on the site. A
similar feature notifies the Content Manager by email when an
employee changes their profile.

Security
Access to iiIntranet is password protected so that only
authorized users have access to the site. It has capabilities to
establish different classes of users with different security
privileges. This allows for employees to have general read-only
access, and access to post questions. Executive and human resource
professional users may have additional access to post answers to
questions and other content. Content Managers would have access to
post content to the site. The System Administrator class of users
would have the most complete access to information, including the
ability to add and delete users and assign user classes.
Departmental structures are also supported to allow users to access
or edit information related only to their department.
